Prospect Local History Group
The Prospect Local History Group operates under the auspices of the Friends of Prospect Library and has the following objectives:
- Promote community interest in the history of the Prospect area
- Encourage research into local history
- Conduct a range of activities to encourage the study, collection, recording and preservation of history in the Prospect area
- Advocate for the preservation of history in the Prospect area
- Conduct an annual program of activities
- Publish books, videos etc about the history of the Prospect area.

Pioneers Association of South Australia
We recommend also looking at the website of the Pioneers Association.
They have a vast array of resources for family and local historians.
The Pioneers Association of South Australia Incorporated was founded in 1935 and has the following principal objectives:
- To perpetuate the memory of the pioneers of early settlement in South Australia.
- To establish and maintain a faithful record of the pioneers for the benefit of present and future generations.
- To encourage the preservation of records, portraits, relics and historical materials associated with pioneer settlement.
- To promote awareness and knowledge of South Australian history.
- To affiliate with any other organisation with objectives similar to those of the Association.
