Davy was a noted athlete in his
youth and one of the best runners in SA. Once Mr. Charles Kingston brought a
professional runner from Melbourne to match against Mr. Davy. The race, run
at midnight, was easily won by Mr. Davy. Played in a band at Port
Adelaide on board the ship Galatea
before the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales (1876) |
