Research Note

We have not located Charles Street, which ran off Lower North Road and must have been on or adjacent to section 370. It probably no longer exists. The 1880 map of the district shows a road, the name of which appears to be Garsi Street, located a bit south of where Gladstone Road now is, illustrating how the roads have changed. If the opportunity arises, we will check Dutton's landholdings at the GRO.
