Highbury St, Little Adelaide In February 1879, Hermann Wilke sold his block
of land at 33 Highbury Street, Little Adelaide to John Le Cornu. The land measured 49' by 100' and consisted of
lot 78 and a very narrow strip of lot 77. John had a six-roomed house built on this site.
It was completed later that year. John and Jane named their home Verclut House
after Jane’s home in Jersey. |
