One of five sons known as “The Fighting Leanes of
Prospect”. Five sons and 9 grandsons of Thomas Leane fought in WW1and WW2 Company commander of the 11th Infantry Captain Leane
was reported to have been one of the first men ashore at Anzac and remained
there until the evacuation. Knighted on his retirement from the Police Force in
1944 |
