Was a member of the Prospect Council from its inception 1st August 1872 to 1875 until he left that district, and was the last of the members of that first council.

 

Was part of a Prospect Council deputation with Chairman Samuel Braund and Cr Alfred Packer to apportion assets from Yatala South Council to the new Prospect Council.
